The fastest way to stiff family photos is asking everyone to “smile at the camera” for twenty minutes. We plan movement instead: walk a path, chase a little, pause for a hug.
Snacks, a favorite toy, and one clear adult “job” (usually holding hands or leading the walk) help more than perfect outfits.
Wear coordinated tones, not matching costumes. Texture photographs well — linen, knits, denim — and avoids the catalog look.
We’ll still make a few classic group frames. Most of the gallery will be the in-between moments that already look like your family.
